Membership Periods
There are 2 types of Membership Period that can be defined: Fixed and Floating
Fixed Membership Periods represent the standard length of your membership terms. For most clubs a Fixed Membership Period is 12 months long (e.g. 1st Jan to 31st Dec).
A new period should be created each year or for any other term.
To create a new period:
a) Click the '+ Fixed period' button.
b) Choose the Period Type (Annual if it's a standard 12 months or Custom for any other duration)
c) Enter the name of the Period (e.g. 2018 or 2018/19)
d) Enter the start date and end date (end date will be calculated automatically for Annual Periods)
e) Click the 'Create Period' button
Membership and join fees can then be set per period.
Floating Membership Periods can be used for temporary memberships (e.g. 1 month or 3 months for seasonal visitors). Or they could be used if you want to offer memberships that renew on the anniversary of joining (i.e. a 12 month floating period).
To create a new period:
a) Click the '+ Floating period' button.
b) Enter the number of months duration
c) Click the 'Create Period' button
Membership and join fees can then be set by adding a rate for each Floating period option when defining prices for each membership type for fixed periods.
