Adding a page or article

You can add content to your site at anytime. Content can be presented in different ways in each section the site (Slideshows, News, Gallery, Links, Custom Content). The required information for each piece of Content may very slightly but they get added in the same way.

Adding a News article

News is a default content folder. Each item of content in this folder represents a News Article. News articles are set to be ordered by publication date. The publication date and time defaults to the date and time the content item was created but this can be edited if required. Each News article should have a title and content.

Uploading files

Sometimes you may wish to add files to accompany your News Article. Sailing Club Manager supports jpeg, png or pdf files.
Uploads of type jpeg and png are treated as images and the default behaviour is to display the first image found above the content at the full width of the page (or the width of the image, whichever is smaller).
Uploads of pdf files are displayed as downloadable links at the end of your article, which allows users to download and view the pdf.

If you wish to place an uploaded image at a particular position within the text you can use the following notations:

)123456:400( where 123456 is the number of the uploaded file and 400 is the max width in pixels that you want the image displayed at (the height will be in proportion to the original size)
