Renewing an individual Membership

In most case membership renewals will processed as a batch and we would recommend using the on-line renewal process to allow members to confirm and pay for renewals via the member portal.

N.B. Before you start renewing memberships, please check that you have created a new period and added prices.

You can renew individual memberships via the admin site as follows:

a) Find the Membership or the Contact whose membership you want to renew. The easiest way is to use the search box in the top bar. Enter the name of the Contact and pick from the drop down list.
b) If you are starting from the Contact, click the Membership submenu under the Contact name and then click the membership number. If you are starting from the Membership section, click the membership number on the appropriate row.
c) Click the 'Renew' button.
d) The default selections should usually be correct but you can change if appropriate.

If you are using the on-line renewal process and you are within the renewal window (default value is 4 months before end of current membership period) then you will see a set of 5 boxes above the Current Members list. This represents the steps of the renewal cycle.

Box 1 shows the current membership

Box 2 shows what the expected renewal will be

Box 3 is where you lock the renewal to what it should be (if different from Box 2)

Box 4 shows when the member has confirmed that they wish to renew or allows you to mark as confirmed for them

Box 5 shows whether the membership has been renewed.
