Membership Renewals

Memberships can be renewed in bulk by a club admin or on-line by the members themselves.

We recommend inviting members to confirm and renew their memberships via the club site as this reduces the amount of admin work that needs to be done.

Whichever method you choose you will need to complete steps 1 and 2 below.

1) Setup new period : Towards the end of the current membership period, once you have agreed and approved any price changes, you should create the new membership period and add the prices.

2) Lock memberships for renewal : Whilst most memberships will be renewed to the same membership type for the new period, some may be changing due to reaching age limits or other constraints. To ensure everyone will be renewed to the correct membership type for the new period you need to check and lock them to the correct type. It is usually easiest to do this one category at a time.

If you wish to renew berthing and boat park allocations at the same time you should also lock these before inviting members to confirm renewals.

3) Invite Members to Renew : Send an emailing to all current Members asking them to login to the Member Portal or go direct to the Renewal page. Here they can agree to any terms and conditions and confirm that they wish to renew. When they click the button to confirm, their membership will be renewed and, if you have one or more payment gateways enabled, they will be asked to pay on-line or authorise payment by Direct Debit. If no payment gateways are available an Invoice will be emailed to them asking for payment by other methods.

Renewal Preview

You can preview what a member is going to be asked to confirm and renew by clicking the 'Renew' sub-menu item when viewing a Contact.
